From an early age, Kai Schwarz was drawn to design, building, and the craft of creating. Raised in a family of home builders and carpenters, he grew up immersed in the trade — a foundation that became a lifelong passion. A second-generation builder, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.
After graduation, Kai worked as a Project Engineer for a commercial construction firm in Fort Worth, Texas, before returning home to Oklahoma City, where he was born and raised. He spent more than eleven years with Love's Travel Stops as Senior Construction Manager, gaining command of the full commercial building process. In that role, he personally oversaw more than 100 projects — from ground-up truck stop builds and store remodels to hotels, apartment and housing facilities, and metal storage buildings.
In 2018, Kai founded Schwarz Construction Group on that firm foundation of experience and expertise. SCG is a full-service contractor committed to giving every owner a quality experience and a finished product they can take pride in. To deliver on that promise, Kai has assembled a trusted network of subcontractors and vendors who help create a truly one-of-a-kind experience — turning each client's vision into reality. He brings personal service and meticulous attention to detail to every job, treating each project as if it were his own.
